Update

I haven't updated in quite some time but here is a little update on what's been going on:

1) We went on a little vacation to Santa Cruz to get away and visit Bobby, Rachel and Caleb (their son). It was a great time. I got in a little surfing, played softball (struck out and homered in consecutive at-bats...consistent), went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, lots of laying around, and even more ice cream eatin'. Amazingly enough, I managed to lose 10 pounds while I was there.

2) There is now a BBQ restaurant in our neck of the woods here in Eastlake. It's Smokin' Sams and it's really good!!! Much better than Armadillo Willy's, Rachel. Anyway, we went there this past week and we're hitting it up again Sunday after church with Steve.

3) Back to the vacations...actually, this is not completely a vacation. Work is allowing me to go observe private recreational sports leagues in Denver. Luck has it, our friends, Adam and Amy Haslett, live in the Denver area and we're going to spend some time with them (plenty, since we are staying with them for 7 days) and their family. I'm going to spend just about every night there checking out dodgeball, kickball, softball, basketball, football, and tennis leagues around Denver area. But the rest of the time, I'm planning on spending time with the family going to the Children's Museum, taking a tour of Invesco Field (I may have to spit on the field the Broncos play on), going to see a Rockies game (against the Giants so I'll doubly piss off people there wearing my Padres hat), checking out mountain passes, and taking a drive up to Golden to visit the Coors Brewery and taking a tour there (can you say "Free Beer?").

4) Finally, Noah is growing up soooooo fast. Tonight, we were at a church-wide bible study and before the study started, we were rehearsing the music and Noah was sitting in his car seat. Mikaela, our Pastor John's daughter, started looking into the seat, along with Ryan. Noah just started smiling and laughing. He loves interacting with people and I'm pretty sure he's going to be a big flirt. He'll definitely be fighting with Ryan for the girls later on in life.

That's pretty much it for now (other than the fire in the canyon behind work, or the lady who was part of a dog show that we rent to at work who ran into someone with her car and then told the cops that she had a gun in her car and then got thrown in jail). Other than that, nothing else going on.

You better give JR a call and let him know the golf schedule for Lawrence Welk soon!

I hope you didn't spit on the field in Denver. You should have been helpful and threw some sugar packets out for Cutler and the boys.-The #1 Chargers fan you know.
