Steve took a well deserved week of vacation so I stepped in and took over worship leading duties. I was pretty stressed out all week not having a chance to rehearse with the band (thanks Bobby for taking our babysitter all week!!!) but everything worked out great. We had everybody show up, and for the most part, on time. Unfortunately, I was running around all morning and we didn't get started until 8:30am. Service starts at 9:00am!!!!!
We get through most of the songs pretty smoothly and then go into our "special music" song and then everything seems to fall apart. The song is very straightforward with the exception of 1 part that has 2 stops. For some reason, we had the hardest time coming together and hitting those stops. We spent about 5 minutes working on one line in the song while the singers didn't even get a chance to practice the song. By the time we worked out the song, we had to start. Two songs we didn't even get to in rehearsal. But...
Everything seemed to come together. It always does. The congregation last week was pretty lifeless but this week, it seemed a little more upbeat. Maybe they all had their Starbucks. Anyway, here are the songs we did:

I'm glad you put this up. I was hoping you'd be doing a confessional since I knew you took over for Steve this week. You should have rocked some video too though.
Glad it all went well. And boo hoo on the babysitter thing. You get her every other week. Can't we borrow her for one? ;)
